Huge response for flood victims

As we all know, the floods have devastated many villages in four districts of our state, umpteen social activists, media agencies and plethora of kind hearted people came forward to help them. Initially we decided to donate Rs. 2,000 to TV9 flood relief fund from RUN and carried 2,000 cash to tv9 office. I reached tv9 office, Banjara hills and was surprised to see heaps of clothes already collected and a lot more are coming in autos, two-wheelers etc. and donating clothes, rice, medicines, pulses and many more.
There were 2 guys who were sitting in front of the entrance door to help people like me, I went told them that I want to donate Rs. 2,000 to flood victims, and I got cash for the same. They suggested me to either donate either food or medicines or cheque/DD.
Next day I carried a cheque for Rs. 2,000 and couldn't resist to carry my cam, I want to click the pick of the clothes being collected.

We spread a word in IBM about the fund collection for flood victims and there was a very huge positive response, with in two days we collected around Rs. 16,000. Many thanks to every one who came forward to help the needy.
Below is the list of things donated to TV9 towards flood victims:
Rice - 100 kgs
Water packets - 500
Wheat flour - 100 kgs
Medicines - 3,000
Tamarind - 50 kgs.
Upma rava - 50Kgs

It took great time and effort to move all those items to tv9. All the credit goes to Priyanka, Ganesh and Umesh.
